Sigh...
I have had
for, well it seems like ages now. I expected a few comments at work, I do work with middle aged women after all. I even wondered if I would be asked to dye it a more conservative shade. What I did not expect was constant comments on my hair for the rest of my life. It has been months and I still get comments from the moment I walk onto the hospital grounds. Most days a total stranger in the lift says something about my hair, this I can handle. What is driving me mad is the same co workers making the same comments every day. Not just one comment, I get at least five inane comments per shift, none of which I know how to respond to.
"Wow, your hair sure is bright!"
"Is your hair getting pinker?"
"Why'd you dye your hair pink?"
"Did you dye your hair again?"
"I'd never be that brave."
Today I even had this conversation,
"Do you like your hair colour?"
"What?!"
"Do you like your hair looking that way?"
I was tempted to ask if she liked her frumpy clothes but let it slide.
I don't know why people think it is okay to tell me how shit they think I look but apparently, if you dye your hair a different colour you are fair game. Oh, and it would appear I am the only person who thinks my hair isn't pink.
