*I got the second volume of the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter: Guilty Pleasures graphic novel in the mail yesterday.  It came in this uber-secure package and when I opened it I discovered a brand new copy still in the cellophane.  It only cost me nine dollars with shipping.  Woohoo!

*I read the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8 comic book

I've been thinking about reading the Anita Blake series. I got about 20 pages into the first one but put it down because it was boring. A few of my friends have really liked it, so I might need to give it another go.

I did think that the first book was a bit slow to start, but it gets a whole lot better towards the middle. For me, personally, it really reeled me in.

GET IT, PINK! Anita is the hotness! I still love Buffy though. I mean Joss turned her into a viable character instead of just a valley girl cheerleader, which by the way, I still love the movie. Your icon made me think you were portkey at first then I was like she doesn't talk like this... then I looked at the name! So that means I know my girls by there writing, YAY!

We should get together and watch the movie sometime. lol. Also, I have the Buffy comic book that adapts Joss Whedon's original screenplay for the movie, and you should read it. They are really nothing alike.
