Yeah, all the shirts are like that. I think the printing process overly darkened the shadow his hat casts over his face so they all ended up that way XD I even checked through a few while I was there! It totally does make it look like he's just DEALING with Flora, though, haha! I'm just glad it fit you, the sizes all ran a bit on the bigger side so I was worried. I sleep in the Large one :D

Oh god, after hearing her English voice I bet he is just DEALING with her. "Take THAT puzzle!" *Layton smiles politely as his face darkens* No wonder he keeps wanting to ditch her.
I thought that maybe there was a misprint with some of the shirts not the entire batch. The ink/paint(?) looks a little thin in places on mine so I try not to wear it much so I don't have to wash it too often.
And medium is usually fine for me unless it's a ladies shirt from Japan or some other place where the women are on average smaller than me, then I need large or extra large if available. That green shirt for my cosplay was a Japanese ladies large and was still pretty snug. I'm glad my boobs weren't any bigger otherwise I don't think that shirt would've fit me at all. XD
