I'm learning to knit too! And everyone keeps calling ME Grandma as well! :'(

I have found that knitting is an amazing thing to do at family functions in which you wish to keep to yourself without looking like you're ignoring everything. Knitting makes one look important.

Ripping the stitches sounds horrifying, but it is good that you're learning how to fix those screw-ups. I have yet to learn, so I'm scared to misstep. Is it as difficult as it sounds?

YES! I've noticed this too! :D My mom's bf was all like "You make me soo happy these past two days and I don't know why!" You see, he gets really moody and angry and starts ranting about everything wrong in the world if I use my computer to do anything. He has this thing against electronics and computers in particular. :'( It's really annoying.

It's not that hard to rip but it's a delicate and time-consuming process. My advice for ripping:
1. Do it in a well lit place so you can see the loops easily.
2. Do it on a flat surface like a table.
3. Do not rush it! Go slow.
4. Do not attempt it in a moving vehicle. A plane might be okay if there's no turbulence.
5. When you are done count the stitches to make sure you have the right number.

That is absolutely incredible work. I can't believe you've gotten so far in learning how to knit in a short amount of time. I wish I had your dedication and patience! You're going to have one amazing Doctor scarf when this is all over! <3

If this had been any ordinary scarf I don't think I would have been nearly as motivated. I really just wanted to get as much of it done as possible before my aunt comes over for New Year's. I want to see if she recognizes it. XD

I'm amazed at myself for how much I managed to get done in 4 days. I seriously thought this would take a year! I wish scanlations went this fast... ;_;

I can't wait until it's done! Progress will be slower now that I have to go back to work and stuff but I'll knit while commuting. I have about two and a half hours each day of nothing to do. :)

WHAT BET!?

I think I'm currently something like close to 70% done now. If I hadn't been scanning stuff the past few days I'd probably be finished by now. But soon real soon. It'll be done.

But you could wear a regular sized scarf and it would appear to be longer than it actually is. ;_;

Have you seen my French bear scarf? The tan one with little tribal-looking bears all over it? It's GIGANTIC on me.
