I know how you feel. I really wish I could go but I know we probably wont. ~.~ My boyfriend told me we could go to Metrocon instead.. But it's not the same!!!
If you mean me? No more drinking at cons. I don't drink a whole lot to begin with, but after Otakon and getting super super drunk... Uh uh. No more. Too damn stressful to deal with the next day while at a con. The hang over will either interfere with costume time, or with travel. Neither is wanted. So glad I wasn't going home until Tuesday after Otakon.
we got super drunk at Acen. And it's created a gag reflex for me around alchohol. So if it's not super girly, fruity or chocolaty... i can't down it. :)
i'm not sure how people consider it fun anymore. O_o
Honestly, if you don't drink I won't either. I am a social drinker. XD So unless some of my others friends are getting drunk, I won't be. And hell, I usually end up hanging out with you guys most of the con anyway.
And yes, I am sad that Amanda won't be there this time. Although I understand, as right now unless I find a job, I won't be going either. T.T But hopefully I'll find a job soon....my unemployment is running out...
I dunno what happened with that. I sent in my application and they responded back saying "you're hired!" to a lengthy extent and then told me to email this one guy, who would be my "boss" and he would email me back with instructions on how to set up for payment, etc, etc. But that guy never emailed me back, despite me sending him several emails.
But even then, it wasn't a job. It was more of an extra cash thing. I'd only get paid when I wrote an article and I could write artcles whenever I wanted. And while they never said how much I would get paid per article, it seemed to be not very much and more dependant on how many viewers I got. /shrugs I don't really care though, I probably would have written one article, got paid like $3 and said "well this is bullshit." And never write anything again.
