This is the third special chapter, starring Megumi, co-starring Yahiro.
At the greenhouse, Hikari looks for Megumi but notices her absence. Akira tells her that she has gone to Yahiro's house once again. Hikari finds this to be a problem, though Megumi seems to be in high spirits.
Megumi goes to Yahiro's house to sing for him, to allow him to hear her, to allow herself to convey her feelings through her voice. He once told her that he loved her singing, and he looks like he enjoys it when she sings. However, this time after Yahiro gives an applause, he is quick to ask why she comes over EVERY SINGLE SAY to sing and if she has that much free time. She panics, knowing she hasn't conveyed anything.
Yahiro comes to the conclusion that she comes over to practice since she is somewhat of a professional now. She answers him, but he reminds her that she shouldn't speak because her throat is important and she needs to refrain from damaging it. He writes the kanji for "meat" on her forehead as a penalty.
Oh well. Megumi doesn't mind since she's happy.
Suddenly, Akira comes rampaging through the yard demanding to know what the hell he's doing to her cute Megumi and throws a huge vase at him. Hikari is in the background, too late to stop the madness.
Later when they're inside, Hikari tells them that she and Akira come because she had business with Megumi. She drops to the ground and bows, much to the surprise of everyone there. Hikari begs Megumi to sing for her friend's band. She explains that there is a band that sings live in her neighbourhood, but the vocalist ate some of her homemade manju and now they can't sing. So to make up for it, she told them she would find a replacement, and she thought of Megumi first.
Yahiro thinks it's a great idea. Singing in a band will be a new and useful experience for Megumi. He'd be very interested in seeing it happen, especially if Megumi and the band members end up not mushing together very well. (Sadist.) Megumi agrees to it despite Yahiro's intentions because, hey, he's interested.
Sakura hears the news and goes to Yahiro to tell him. Yahiro notes that aside from them and the S.A, Megumi hasn't made any friends. He thinks it'll be a good thing for her. Sakura then brings up the possibility that the band members might all be male. She may get a boyfriend from this. She sits beside him and points the obvious that Megumi has always liked him, but he doesn't feel the same way back. So again, this may be her chance to start with someone new.
Yahiro leaves, stating he has some business to attend to. What Sakura said has suddenly concerned him. He thought it would be a good idea, but there may be a few weirdos who could turn out to be dangerous. So for now he's going to stake out the place.
When he arrives at the practice studio, he is utterly shocked. It's a run-down dump of a place, but it can't be nearly as bad on the inside right? Nope. The inside is full of punk graffiti and cheap equipment. Que dramatic rich boy Yahiro.
Kei and Hikari spot him and ask him why he's there. Hikari takes a guess that he's there to watch Megumi practice, though Yahiro folds his arms and denies it and says he just wanted to see what kind of band Megumi is in. Megumi comes in and is immediately happy and grateful that he came by. Yahiro says he came to see how much she was failing to be apart of the band, which gets an angry response of course.
Yahiro takes a look at the band members and they're all girls. With that, he turns around and says he's going home. Kei agrees to go home as well.
Once they're gone, Megumi is officially introduced to the members. She's very uncomfortable and wonders if she'll be able to get along with them well. One of them asks of that "Yahiro" guy is her boyfriend. Megumi shakes her head and writes that it's nothing but one-sided. The three girls smile, all realising that even a great S.A member can suffer from unrequited love. One of the girls expresses her one-sided crush on someone at her part-time job. She wishes both her and Megumi good luck in their pursuits.
Meanwhile, Kei and Yahiro walk together. Kei says he came along because it would bother him if any of the band members were male. Yahiro says that it would be bad if any bad "bugs" came around. He tells Kei that when it comes to Hikari, it's just strange that he seems so desperate. Kei provides no comment on that. He just stares at Yahrio like he's crazy and remarks that he could say the same thing about him. It would be a bad thing if any bad "bugs" came near Megumi. It's Yahiro's turn to look at Kei like he's crazy.
"So anyway, it must be because of the way you feel about Megumi, right?"
"Yes. She's my adorable pet."
"...You're blushing there. Are you trying to say, 'It's none of your business'?"
"You...Eversince you started dating Hikari, you're personality sure has changed..."

Back to the band, the band members are amazed at Megumi's perseverance with her love. She explains to them that no matter what she does, she can't convey her feelings well enough to Yahiro. One of the girls suggests using a different approach. Akira comes in with tea and snacks. While they're discussing moving the band practice location, Megumi thinks of what kind of approach to use from now on.
She recalls that Yahiro has loved Akira's sweets since he was young, so she asks Akira for her recipes. She makes some cookies for him, but all he can comment on is how horrible they look.
Later on Megumi hears the band member with the one-sided crush talk about how her crush would probably like it if she brought him a boxed lunch. So Megumi tries to make a boxed lunch. Jun and Ryuu look on, worried because not only has she been working on it for a while, but also because she used all the food that they were supposed to eat.
She goes all the way to Yahiro's school to give him the lunch and it gets awkward for Yahiro when she tries to feed him. Sakura sees no problem with it and teases Yahiro for being so awkward. Yahiro sees that despite this weird situation, Megumi genuinely looks happy, though he calls her an idiot.
Megumi makes other attempts to show her feelings, but none of them work the way she expects them to. Finally it gets to a point where Yahiro smacks on on the head and tells her to stop screwing around. He tells her to stop bothering with him. She ought to have more important things to tend to.
That is not what Megumi wanted to hear him of all people say. To her, he is the one special person she can sing for. Before him, her singing was destructive and there was nobody to sing for. She wanted to have someone who could hear her, but that didn't come along until Yahiro suggested singing from afar so she could be properly heard. After hearing it he said that he loved it, and that was the first time she had ever received a comment like that.

Yahiro is seen outside of the practice studio and spots a couple boys walking by. They talk about how the rumours that the S.A member Megumi Yamamoto will be performing live are true. One boys asks the other if he's a fan of Megumi, but that's not the case. However, he is aiming to marry a rich woman so that would be one good reason to get close to her. They hear evil chuckling coming from Yahiro. He punches the fence behind him, which leaves quite a dent in the metal, and tells them that the tickets are all sold out so they can't go.

On the night of the concert, Hikari, Yahiro, and Sakura look around for Megumi. She sneaks up on Yahiro and pats him on the shoulders. He turns around to see her wearing a fluffy hood jacket with bunny ears. She writes that she thought he liked bunnies since he has such an obsession with Yappi. She does what is rarely done and says, "Thank you for coming", in cute fashion. While everyone is amazed at how adorable she sounds, Yahiro wraps the ears in one hand and asks how many time he has to tell her to not talk.
After all that, Yahiro overhears some guys admiring Megumi and wanting to get closer to her.
So after all the attempts on Yahiro, Megumi has concluded that her singing is really the only way to make Yahiro happy. However, while she's rocking it out on the stage, she spots Yahiro and he doesn't look happy, but rather irritated as hell. This causes her to freak out.
This lapse in confidence was noticed by Hikari, but other than that nothing went bad. After the concert, Megumi sits sulking alone in the band room. She recalls Yahiro telling her to not bother with him anymore and wonders if he's come to dislike her.
The guys Yahiro overheard before find her and are extremely happy to meet her. One of them puts their hand on her shoulder and invites her to come out with them. Though they don't get much further in their invite because Yahiro interrupts and basically invites himself to come along with them. However, he has a problem being around these "dirty commoners". He takes the hand of the guy who touched Megumi's shoulder and comments on how dirty it is. This makes the guy mad, but Yahiro flips him, glares at him, and asks what they want with him now. The guys leave right away.
Yahiro finds Megumi crouching being equipment. She admits that she was scared, but it's because she has no idea how to please him. Yahiro bluntly states that that is a stupid reason to cry, which just makes her break down in wails insisting it's not stupid. She puts her hand over his and says she loves his smiling face.
Yahiro once again says she's a big idiot. She doesn't have to go so far to please him because all he needs is her singing. She tears up again saying that's a lie because he was pouting during the concert. Yahiro blushes and explains that his behaviour was probably brought on because there were strange guys targeting her. Really, he's angry that it was because of guys like those that he wasn't able to properly enjoy the concert.
Megumi suggests doing it again if he feels that way. Yahiro agrees. Before she can leave to ask the other band members, Yahiro stops her, saying there is no need to do that. This time he will take care of everything. He's the one asking for it this time, so he'll definitely be able to hear her singing this time.
So he prepares for the next concert in style (airplanes streaming messages across the sky, pro Youtube videos, pro band members to help out, who knows what else). Tadashi and Ryuu are distracted by how flashy the whole show is, but Sakura and Akira are only excited and wish the best for Megumi. They prepare outfits for the band and upgrade their rehearsal studio to one of Yahiro's. The band members feel like they're living a dream.
The night of the concert arrives. Tadashi and Ryuu are nervous about the amount of people there for the event. They wonder how the regular band members are holding up. They walk in on a drill instructor drilling into the band members about their fear, and they've had it drilled into them that having no boyfriend for Christmas is scarier than this concert. Yeah, they conclude that they will be fine.
And then the concert begins...
Kei gets Yahiro's attention. He once again ask if this was because of how he feels about Megumi. Still blushing, he turns away and says, "That's none of your business!"
Megumi still doesn't know whether she was able to convey it to him or not, but until she knows for sure, she'll give it her all.
