this whole anthropolgie thing is happening to me, too. it makes me feel very out of control in this weird way that seems so serious even though it's only soft soft sweaters & tweed blazers, magnificent colors.
also, i've realized, in retrospect, that you're the closest thing to a genius i've ever bummed around with. i am almost certain that if you are patient & persistent everything will work out for you magically. if you were a horse i'd bet on you!
i've been wanting to call everyone "girl" lately. like, even my dogs. like, even pictures that i am drawing. like, i first began this comment with a "hey, girl!". i wonder how bad this is.
(did you ever thing of a name for your gallary/boutique?)
oh, but i LOVE you. it is ridiculous how much! thanks for the horse comment, i mean, that's the best i could ask for from anyone.
the girl thing is funny. suzanne (see above: mathissexy), amelia, and i all call each other GIRLFRIEND, because our painting teacher at massart used to call everybody that. we even have a special affected VOICE that goes with it.
are you in ny or maine now? when can i see you? i will DIE if i don't see you!
and no, i have not come up with a name for the shop/gallery/space. so far hissyfit is on top. ira (the bookshop guy) suggested cynosure, which means center of attention and also some star constellation. i think it's too obscure. sounds weird. i don't know...
You buy clothes from thrift stores and then jack up the price and sell them? Capitalist swine! You're the reason why I can't find anything decent at a reasonable price at thrift stores anymore.
