Haha, I was all pissed about that a couple weeks ago. She pretty clearly has no goddamn idea what she's talking about, picks the WORST feminist theorists to cite, and is generally a huge moron. Janice Raymond thinks that the mere existence of transsexuals is rape. I mean, what?

My favorite part is when she goes off on Wash and Zoe's relationship and everyone in the comments are like "I'll accept that Wash is raping Zoe when they have sex, but THAT COMMENT WAS KINDA RACIST."

I would hasten to point out that Captain Mal is pretty much an ass to everyone he meets. It's, you know, a defining character trait to be snappish. Just because some of his targets happen to be women doesn't make him a rapist, it makes him an equal opportunity offender.
I bet this same "feminist" [and I put that in quotes because I think man-hating undermines everything feminism is about] who gets so up in arms about Firefly would also chew me a new asshole if I tried to hold open a door for her or pull out her chair because I would be buying into traditional stereotypical gender roles.I wonder if there's any way I could win . . .
