Hello Diane , I went through alot of the content on your website and something that i
couldn't find an asnwer to anywhere was that you talk about the
advancements in whole brain preservation through vitrification and that one
day you hope to achieve full body vitrification. does this mean that the
head is severed from the body? And stored seperatly in a different freezing
container? This was something i found very unclear as there is alot of
implications that you can choose to have only your brain/head preserved?
Perhaps i just misunderstood. I'm just curious because i've tried other
websites and can't find a clear answer on the subject.

If you can suggest any places i might be able to find more information on
the actual process of what happens during the procedure i would greatly
appreciate it.

Sincerly Laurie Faller

TODAY , MAY 13TH I FINALLY GET MY ANSWER. if you can call it one.which i can't . because i CLEARLY SPECIFIED IN MY E-MAIL THAT I WAS UN-ABLE TO FIND ANSWERS ON THE WEBSITE. anger.

Laurie,

Here is a link to our website to explain the procedure.

Seriously ? i'm pissed that i had to wait a month for that . i'm so dissapointed with the response. I would have been satisfied with a simple yes/ no we do not sever the head like we so heavily imply all over the website. Perhaps next time my e-mail will read " dear alcor . i am stupid rich . if i give you all of my billions of dollars will you or will you not sever my head alice in wonderland style during the cryonic preservation of my dead flesh?" PPFT. they can forget about getting my corpse now . jerks. I'd rather by a rocket ship as a flying tomb in space . YOUR LOSS ALCORR!!!!

Interesting fact # 476: Did you know that if you live in the states you can refuse autopsy . ALCOR life extention ( cryonics ) suggests that if you want to be cryonically preserved , that you fill out one of these forms. Because an autopsy can interfere with the "success" of the vitrification. (even though you are frozen AFTER you are pronounced legally dead) I think it's actually funny that the website is like " hey , check out this loophole. lie!"

"Fortunately, some state legislators have moved toward restricting the power of the state to demand an autopsy. One statute which has been passed in at least five states (California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio) is the "Religious Objection to Autopsy." Simply, it gives people the right to prevent autopsy of their remains in most circumstances by signing a certificate declaring that autopsy is contrary to their "religious belief." (A person completing such a form is not required to state what his/her religion is.)"

and it's just 3 sheets of paper that have to be signed by you and 2 other people that aren't related to you OR a health practitioner of any kind.....doesn't this sound a little sketchy? like i could write Bob and Doug Mckenzie , and noone would notice? you send them by mail once there complete to your doctor/legal aid . and DONE.

They even talk about "Younger members are particularly at risk of autopsy if they need suspension, since death at a young age is most likely to be the result of an accident, homicide, or sudden unexplained illness."

HOMOCIDE, sounds so much nicer than MURDER doesn't it? this seem like the worst loopwhole EVER! I didn't look up the laws in canada because honestly it creeps me out. Not that i think anyone wants to kill me or anone i know . But it's totally creepy that it would be really easy to end an investigation before it begins due to " it goes agianst my religion but i don't have to prove it in any way or even tell you what it is" . CREEPPYYYY

i will end my nerd post here . but cryonics are really interresting . Read up .
