I feel that money's initial transactions were these small village bribes about power. to make people say and do the things they want. money gives you the right to talk to people in certain ways, manners and etiquettes.

In your case, however, you have the ability to bribe with kisses and hugs and whatnot. "I'll give you three Steven kisses if you do this for me." And it works! Why? Because kisses have more value than money in the Ada society.
