is anyone else old enough to remember the REAL dolmio pasta sauce guy? NOT the puppet, the gfuy that the puppet was modelled over? what ever happened to him? did he die or something? just curious

And the Dolmio guy was awesom, but I think
Dolmio has "retired" that whole family...
remember how he used to say, "Dat's a-balisimo
mamma!" and then have the sauce on his
lip?

I have a question. Did this guy talk with an australian fake italian accent? I don't think I've ever heard that before.

nah he was real italian, but there IS a guy on telly selling 'papa guiseppi's pizza' its a microwave pizza meal thing and hes a fat gut with a fake moustache....it kinda makes me depressed thinking about it.....off to pine.

hahahaha, not likely, i could never be THAT mucgh of a man, selling frozen pizzas on tv with a bad moustache 'glued' on...no my dear, these are the kind of things that i can aspire to be only in my greatest dreams and aspirations.

i vaguely remember the dolmio guy from years ago...like before i lived here and just used to come on holiday.

Yeah, I remember him! No news on the exact whereabouts, I'm afraid, but I'm sure he will continue to live on in the hearts of thousands. I'd hope he were content enough with his 15 minutes of fame to not risk it for something less brilliant.
