Choose twelve of your original characters in any particular order (NO PEEKING AT THE QUESTIONS AT THIS STAGE!). Then, answer the questions that follow:

1. Gryph: Starting out easy, with the muses! Gryph's a big wolfy...thing. A big OLD wolfy thing, with an odd sense of humor.

2. Rune: Short, red-haired, knife-wielding catgirl. Lots of fire. Not so big on the 'planning ahead' thing.

3. Azrael: Cynical, cold winged-girl. Dry sense of humor. Plots and plans. On the lower end of the ol' power scale, generally speaking, but uses what she has with surgical precision.

4. Crystal: Kindly android with huge...tracks of land, and a suprisingly large arsenal for someone so nice. Dates the wolf. Don't ask.

5. Lament: One of the last known sphinxes, Lament takes care of an old library. More of a scholar than a fighter, she knows just enough magic to defend herself and escape to safety.

6. Street: Member one of a very good trio of mercenaries, she's an expert swordswoman who prefers up-close and personal combat. A professional to the end, but only accepts hits on the morally corrupt...usually.

7. Gauge: Member two of the mercenary squad. An expert in all things firearm-y, Gauge prefers to snipe you from two buildings away. Rarely speaks, rarely seen without his sunglasses.

8. Voice: Member three. Coordinator and demolitions expert, Voice is usually there in the background, supplying Street and Gauge with floor plans, advice, and witty banter.

9. Eve: Softspoken and ever-polite, Eve is a more standard (though high-end) android than Crystal. While Eve is technically sentient, and can certainly feel emotion, she has very few motivations, making her the perfect personal assistant and bodyguard. She was not built for combat, though, so the latter duty relies on her speed, reflexes, and brute machine force.

10. Maxam Kane: Mr. Kane to his students, Maxam is a semi-retired battle mage who teaches classes on various sorts of magic. He is tall, broad, and gruff, but reasonably friendly when you earn his respect.

11. Ashthena: Ash to those she likes and 'Ashie' to Rune (who's the only one brave enough to call her that), Ashthena's one of the 'younger' goddesses. Her power and domain aren't nearly as large as any of the major deities, but that allows her far more freedom and flexibility.

12. Jack: Because no list is complete without a little evil. The Man in White. When there is a position in a soulless corporation or evil organization that requires a great deal of killing, Jack will be found there. Not because he needs the money, and not because it's what he's absolutely the best at, but because he simply enjoys killing people.

..........

01) Who would make a better college professor, 6 (Street) or 11 (Ashthena)? What subjects would they teach?
Street would make a terrible professor, without the patience to teach the slow students or the empathy to take pity on the ones who made mistakes. She would make a halfway-decent (if strict) teacher of sword fighting. Ashthena, being both a goddess and being fairly kind (...kinda), would make a pretty good professor in anything.

02) Do you think 2 (Rune) is hot? How hot?
Kinda. The spunky little tomboy thing is nifty, and she's very feminine, for someone without much up top. I wouldn't say she's drop-dead beautiful, but she has her own kind of cuteness.

03) 12 (Jack) sends 8 (Voice) on a mission. What is it, and does it succeed?
Probably to blow something up, really. It would succeed only if the target wouldn't hurt innocent people, which, knowing Jack, is about 50/50 odds.

04) What is or would be 9's (Eve's) favorite book?
Eve...doesn't really read. Maybe poetry, or a random novel?

05) Would it make more sense for 2 (Rune) to swear fealty to 6 (Street), or the other way around?
Other way around. Street would be pretty loyal for money and a good cause. Rune, on the other hand, swears to NO ONE. No how, no way.

06) For some reason, 5 (Lament) is looking for a roommate. Should he/she share a studio apartment with 9 (Eve) or with 10 (Maxam Kane)?
Eve. Maxam's too stoic, and would make poor Lament pretty uncomfortable. The girl's not used to being around many people...not to mention that he'd have a professional interest in her.

07) 2 (Rune), 7 (Gauge) and 12 (Jack) have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Somewhere middle-class. Not some run-down bar or fast-food place, but not somewhere really high-class. Maybe a nice-ish pizza place, which is just low-key enough for Gauge, and just high enough for Jack to be amused. They might even finish their pizza before Rune tries to stab Jack.

08) 3 (Azrael) challenges 10 (Maxam Kane) to a duel. What happens?
Azrael puts up a reasonable fight but still gets her butt royally handed to her. Maxam has way too much experience to be taken lightly, and it's a bad match-up. Maxam's not the most agile, fast fighter, but he can put out a pretty overwhelming offense, and Az can't stand up to that for terribly long.

09) If 1 (Gryph) stole 8's (Voice's) most precious possession, how would s/he get it back?
She'd probably send Street or Gauge (or both) after him, which would not end pleasantly.

10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 (Gauge) and 12 (Jack) both attain what they most desire.
Depth Perception

11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 (Crystal) and 1 (Gryph) to work together?
They're a COUPLE, for goodness' sakes. There's not really a plot device needed, here.

12) If 7 (Gauge) visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
Gauge seems to factor into a lot of these questions! We'd get along okay, I guess. Probably sit in silence most of the time, watch some tv.

13) If you could command 3 (Azrael) to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Sit down and tell a bunch of really bad jokes. Just to see if she would.

14) Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11 (Ashthena)?
I don't think any of them even know she EXISTS. She's mostly just in my head. So...no.

15) If 2 (Rune) had to choose sides between 4 (Crystal) and 5 (Lament), which would it be?
Crystal, hands down. Loyalty, and all that.

16) What might 10 (Maxam Kane) shout while charging into battle?
Maxam's not a talker. He'd probably just give you the Evil Eye, and charge at you. Which is probably worse than anything he could yell.

17) If you chose a song to represent 8 (Voice), which song would you choose?
Er. "Can't Keep Me Silent" is the obvious choice, I suppose.

18) 1 (Gryph), 6 (Street), and 12 (Jack) are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Jack wouldn't bother fighting over it, Street's probably too aloof to care, and Gryph rarely backs down from a meal...so that solves that. Unless Street really really wanted that pancake, in which case she and Gryph would fight to a stand-off while Jack ate their pancake.

19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 (Rune) to use on 10 (Maxam Kane)?
"Ooo, that's a very big sword. <3" I feel dirty just typing it. Dirty!

20) What would 5 (Lament) most likely be arrested for?
Withholding information from a corrupt organization or government.

21) What is 6's (Street's) secret?
She originally started learning swordplay for no reason other than 'it looks cool'.

22) If 11 (Ashthena) and 9 (Eve) were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Ashthena. Eve's fast, but Ashthena's not really bound by too many physical laws. She could probably get to the end almost instantly. On the other hand, if Ashthena were bound by a more 'mortal' form, probably Eve.

23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighbourhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 (Gauge) or 8 (Voice)?
Gauge. As nice as the company of a young woman is, Voice isn't that great in a fight. She's good with things that go 'boom', but doesn't even know much in the way of martial arts. Gauge, on the other hand, is a reasonable street fighter, and at any given time probably has at least four guns on his person. Plus, you don't switch the blade on a guy in shades (oh no), don't masquerade with the guy in shades (oh no).

24) 1 (Gryph) and 9 (Eve) reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's (Crystal) sinister secret organization. 11 (Ashthena) volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he is actually a spy for 4 (Crystal). Meanwhile, 4 (Crystal) has kidnapped 12 (Jack) in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5 (Lament), they seek out 3 (Azrael), who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What title would you give this fic?
...er. "Go Ahead, Let the Bastard Die"? Also, "the threat posed by Crystal's sinister secret organization" may be the most awesome and crazy phrase in this entire thing. Ahahaha. She'd be a scary mastermind. All kind and sweet and then BAM! Into the evil octopus pit!

Though aside from Crystal going all evil, it's almost plausable (Lament gives fair advice sometimes, and various plot devices for the Gryph + Eve combo and Ashthena being weird), until we get to Jack. I mean, sure, Eve doesn't really know him, but how in the world does THAT work against Gryph?

"Surrender to me, or I shall kill this man who you would probably kill yourself if you could get your paws on him! Ahahaha!"? Then again, Azrael has a deep and wrathful loathing for Jack, and her advice (see the fic title) would nicely solve the hostage 'problem'.

..........

Out.
