I think I found a kitten! I have to call in 30 minutes to find out more about it, but Mrs. Cofer caught me as I walked into my field school today (for the last time! =( ) and yelled "Ask and you shall recieve!" At first I thought, "I've been hired!!" Then I realized I hadn't put my application in there yet. Then I realized she must mean a

The Cat People are...weird. Not very chatty. I don't trust people who can't make small talk. I said, "Well, can I give you my number so if anything happens to it you can let me know?" And the woman, who knew NOTHING about the kitten and had to keep asking her little girl about it, said, "I'll tell my daughter to take extra good care of it. We have dogs, and usually they are ok with them, but there's no guarantee." I had been waiting until Christmas Eve to get it, but I said, "I'll pick it up next week!" I've never held it, but knowing it is being kept for me has made me very protective of it already. I'll have to hide it until Christmas. I can't wait. =D

My plan, mister, is that since it is ALREADY an outside kitten, he/she will have to stay in a cage I have in my garage. With stuff to snuggle down in. I wouldn't make it stay in a cage, because I hate that part, except I don't want it to get hurt on anything. And the people are trying to feed it gravy, and it's 4 weeks old right now! I think. In any case, I feel it would be safer here with me, and since my classes are almost over and Nat will be in school a lot longer still, I will get to take him/her inside and play with him/her while she is gone. That way it isn't just sitting in the garage all alone all day. Nat never goes in the garage anyway, and it's always so loud where we are that she would never hear it.
I dislike the situation, but it is the best I can do at the moment. Besides, I want it here now, instead of there, outside, with kitten eating dogs roaming around. =D
