The new kitten's name has been changed to Tinkerbell. I didn't much care for Pixie. I'm more fond of her now (not because of the name change). She really is a great cat. She likes to sit on your shoulder while you walk around the house. For that reason, I hope she stays small. She got her shots today, and the vet said she is one of the ( Read more... )

People who don't have pets can never really understand the bond you can have with a pet. It's totally different from the bonds you have with human beings. They're always there for you, no matter what. They somehow can sense when you need a pick-me-up, and that's when they usually spring into hyper-crazy mode, chasing invisible things around the room and literally running into walls and table legs and whatnot. And it's incredibly comforting to come home from a long day at work, sit down in your chair, and have a kitty in your lap within 20 seconds. You have to be open to appreciating things like that, and some people just aren't open to that...I feel sorry for them though. They're missing out on one of the great little things in life.
