well, i dunno, not so much anne rice syndrome (although there is one vampire, who i suspect is also a gay one :D but nevermind) as just general milling about oddly. maybe it's just me, but honestly, do we (or the story) *really* need FIVE. HUNDRED. pages of "and then they ate dinner and sat in the common room before going to bed. and then the next morning they ate breakfast and didn't talk about anything that would help them defeat voldemort and then they had classes and small unimportant stuff happened and the trio's relationship slightly changed but not in a dramatic way and then they ate dinner and sat in the common room before going to bed."?!?!?!?!? IT DRIVES ME. FUCKING. NUTS. like many have said, the beginning of HBP was OH SO PROMISING<3, but it just.... blöööääärrrtss. did that. ><
