Antje gave me a book with knitting patterns for Christmas last year, hinting which cap and mittens she would like ;-))  I never found the right kind of wool to work with (the ones they promote in the book being very expensive) - a few weeks ago I finally stumbled over a yarn-store in Frankfurt and bought some. Wow, that cap is lovely! (And so is the silver/blue fabric.) But how sneaky of Antje, to give you a present that's really one for her -- she must be a Slytherin /g/.

The silver-blue fabric is what I cover my sofa-table with during Christmas-season - and a little longer, obviously ;-)

Wow. that's a great cap! Can imagine Antje reserved it for herself in a slightly sneaky way :-)

Beautiful and unusual design which gives it really something extra, with these vague ridges.

You do have a very good 'hand' in knitting, I think: very regular and neither too loose nor to tight, so the cap looks really awesome!

Thank you! I have done quite a lot of knitting when I was a student, sweaters for H. and so on (I still have to do mittens for him, as his hands are too big to find some in a store...).
The design was fun and easy once I had comprehended what I had to do...
