We have internet in the new house! Will be catching up on lj gradually. Little disappointed you can't 'previous 10' back to 340 odd like you used to, though if I'd been away this long in LJ's heyday it'd be well over a thousand posts. Still, more than a hundred is quite a lot to have missed.

Yay internet! I'm trying to get back into LJ, and it's a little weird to only have a few posts per day to read. I remember days when if you were gone from the internet for a few hours, you missed EVERYTHING. (Back in my day... lol)

It's still my default first place to check in the morning before work (a habit started over a decade ago!) but sometimes ontd_football is the only new post since the day before. All of the fandom comms are completely dead; that was a wholesale shift to tumblr. Most of the people who have stuck around, thankfully, are prolific posters, so it's not completely dead.

I honestly still don't understand how people are supposed to communicate on tumblr? I have one, but I mostly just reblog pictures I like. Idk. My friends list here on LJ seems to average about a dozen posts a day.

I think I check my f-pages one, occasionally two times a week, without feeling like I'm missing anything. On one hand, I miss the heyday (heydays? heyday period?); on the other hand, this is definitely easier to keep up with.
