Canals iceskating 2012

Pretty unique event, last time they froze shut was about 15 years ago. You always see it in the old pictures and 17th century paintings, now we can actually do it ourselves.

Cool post. I was just looking at a photo report about canal skating in Holland on some German weather site. Must be amazing to skate for kilometers.
