palm reading and such...

I like the way each point she makes is actually subdivided into an initial "reading" and then a back-up reading in case the former doesn't work out. I think palm-reading should be considered an psychosocial artform rather than a pseudoscience.

Agreed on so many levels.

And good job dropping off the face of the earth, Christine. I mean, I live like a hundred feet away from you. Oh wells.

Haha, I was going to ask if I was allowed to refute the palmreading statements, but I suppose Matt took care of that.

"You will have a life, followed by death"
"Bad things will happen soon"
"Good things will happen soon"
"You are firm but sensitive, sceptical* but gullible, and you have a keen eye for detail but you can also look at the big picture"

*did you know this is a legitimate alternate spelling of "skeptical"? LJ doesn't like it, even though it suggests "sceptically", but LJ can suck it!

okay, i don't mind "colour" or "practise"... but people who spell "skeptical" and any of its derivatives with a c are losers. i don't care what merriam-websters says. ;)

Oh, glad to see you blogging again, though :) When you don't post, I get jealous that you've got so many cool things to do that prevent you from doing so.

Hey Christine! Glad to see you update for once, and I'm glad you're having such an awesome time at MIT!

I was just checking out the Langer lab stuff, that looks really awesome! It's cool... I'm hoping to start some research like that over the summer.

Anyway, have a good week, christine!

Oh Christine (in the style of Madiha). I'm glad we talked today. It really means a lot to me to be able to catch a breather with you.
