"Shh..." Ben held his finger to his lip, looking at the offensive lamp that had dared to trip him. No, someone had decided to rearrange all the furniture on him while he had been away at the bonfire party at the river

Awww shit was right. Because Dean was relatively certain that he had heard a car motor when Ben was coming up the driveway, and it shut off as oppose driving away. And if Ben was what he thought he was? Ben was never going to see the light of day again.
He put the shotgun down on the side of the stairs and made his way over to Ben. He could smell the beer as he got close, and that really only made him angrier. "Are you drunk?"
Alec sat in the living room with his parents. In theory they were watching a movie, but the lie was a little thin and they all knew it. Alec could smell his parents worry in the air. It was a scent that was slightly forward and to the left of fear

Ben was also "watching" a movie, but safe across the street in Sarah's basement where her parents had a virtual party hangout. Sarah was laying beside him, resting after a small make-out session. Catching their breath at the moment, so to speak.
There was a vibration in his pants, making Sarah jump as Ben reached for his phone and flipped it open to read the text message.
"Your parents finally trying to track you down?" She asked, trying to read over his shoulder.
"Wouldn't answer if they did. It's just Alec."
"He'll tell your parents you're here."
"I know that." Ben pondered on writing back, but he wasn't mad at his brother, and Alec could be a bit emotional at times. No need to make him think that Ben was mad at him too.
Alec sagged when he got a prompt reply. He hadn't realized he was quite that wound up until he wasn't any more. He thought for a long minute before tapping in another message. Asking where he was would end the conversation. Alec didn't like keeping secrets and Ben knew it, At least not real secrets. So everything had to be Mom and Dad safe. Coming home tonight? If he answered that at least everyone would be able to sleep. Even if Ben wasn't coming home it meant he had some sort of plan.
"Maybe?" Sarah slapped his chest as Ben sent the message. "You promised me you'd stay here for the weekend with me. Really make your folks miss you before going back."
"Babe, I'm across the street. They'll see me eventually."
"Not if I keep you tucked away," Sarah smirked, leaning down to kiss him.

Probably not the best time to be joking, but it was funny in his head.
