It's also a very good idea to have a reason or a goal for going to grad school, apparently. Not that I would know... :)

A lot of people who say they're going to grad school probably won't end up in it. I've had two classes that are cross-listed between undergrad and grad film theory (different requirements for each group) and all of the grad students are in their 30s

Also, I don't know if you've looked into it, but a program at York that might be really good for you since you're interested in doc filmmaking/journalism: Social and Political Thought. That's one of the places I'm trying to get into.

OH, I don't actually want to go to grad school yet...it's just something I feel like I should be doing cause everyone else is. And I don't know what I'm doing next year and I'm a little scared...

Yes, the grads in my story editing class seem a lot older.
