One of my other friends (and this was *totally* out of left field) epxressed dismay that I like Mistful (Maya's LJ name). I was like...what? You too?

Anyway, which of hers is your favourite?

What's with all the HP BNFs and releasing first books in trilogies lately?

I found Cassandra Claire's City of Bones in Whitcoull's the other day. I tried to read some of it... ugh. Not just derivative and bad a bad HP/Star Wars rip off, it's not that great anyway.

I will, however, take a peek at this one of Maya's. I actually liked her writing - and it sounds a bit more original than Clare's offerings.

Yeah, I know, suddenly everyone's on the "I'm publishing my original work, and I'm yanking all my fanfic down" bandwagon.

At least Maya is giving us a year to get everything saved, and has said she will be making a PDF version available.

I have a bit more faith in Maya's book being good, as her writing is very good. Her LJ is hilarious, and her sense of humor shines through even in the serious letter she wrote (at 3am!) to her agent. It should make me laugh.
I got bored with the Draco trilogy - never finished it. Oh well, can't now.

Well, if you read City of Bones, you might be able to read some of Draco Trilogy - she's taken some of her stuff from there, and changed the names!

Oh, you're kidding me, right? About the only part I can remember is the Weasley twins giving Draco hell for not using the line "honey, I'm back from the dead", after they rescue him with the flying car...
