I can see the light, yet it's not close enough

I used to hate change. I mean really hate it. But I think over the years, I have learned to deal with it better. Well, I guess I had no choice. I graduated college, got a new job, began life on my own, etc ( Read more... )

It's strange to see you write, "And for once I am not afraid". I say that because you never struck me as being a particularly fearful person. But if you really believe that your personal courage had (at some point) been less than you wanted, then you shouldn't see your present lack of fear as shedding something shameful. Instead, consider looking at it as if your courage has at last caught up to your heart and your abilities. I for one would never have assumed or predicted that fear would make you unable to change what was necessary in your life to make yourself happy. I'm sure your family and other friends would also share the confidence that you at one time thought you lacked.

Best of luck to you in your new endeavor. Embrace the change that is happening in your life - that advice from one who has started one or two new paths of his own in the past.
