Orihime gulped with anticipation as she looked herself over in the large full-length mirror before her… Today was her big day.
Today, she was getting married to the only person she truly loved.
The boy that slowly, but surely became a great, powerful, loving man right before her very eyes as she watched him for many years… even though he was still a bit dense when it came to certain things.
Kurosaki Ichigo.
After today she would be come Kurosaki Orihime and finally claim the name she had scribbled on her notebooks during boring math and English classes in her high school years. The thought of that brought a rare smile upon the brown haired woman's lips.
A smile filled with happiness.
Sure, Orihime smiled a lot, more than most people, but they were rarely truly happy smiles.
She had lost most of those with her brother… gone.
But Ichigo seemed to be able to find a few of them along the way and return them to her, sharing his own rare smiles with her. He also helped create a few new one as she did for him.
Her smile grew steadily wider, but the sudden opening of the dressing room door interrupted her thoughts.
"Orihime, the march is starting." A girl with short, ruffled black hair informed, crossing her arms over her chest as she examined the girl in front of her before smiling in approval.
"Coming Tatsuki-chan!" Orihime chirped happily as she placed her wedding veil over her head, walked out of the room, and closed the door behind her. She lightly brushed her fingers against her hairpins before gathering herself as the wedding march began to play.
Everyone was a bit skeptical about Orihime's wedding seeing as the girl wanted a Western Style wedding, mentioning something about noble princes and tights as she sent looks over Ichigo's way. But because Orihime was paying for the wedding (because she wanted to have the full Western wedding experience), no one could convince her to give up her crazy idea. Even Ichigo resigned to his just "let her do what she wants" attitude as he was dragged back and forth from dress shop to tux shop to cake shop to catering shop to big churches.
In the end, Orihime made the wedding work… with a little help from Urahara Shoten. After all, the Shinagami that were attending the wedding needed gigais.
