i am probably a bad person to reply to this but i would call the cops. she has done something similar to me and to our former roommate in regards to getting replacement roommates, paying rent and putting the cable and electricity in her name--meaning that she refused to meet her obligations in all of those things and when she could not longer easily avoid us, just decided to unfriend and ignore all attempts at communication. we ended up having to pay a substantial amount of money to avoid completely nuking our credit. she seems to be under the impression that if she ignores you, you will go away and the situation will resolve itself. if i could have reported a crime in my case, i would have.
you could also just show up and hope that she answers the door.
Wow. All of this really shocks me. I guess I see how she could do it to me though if she could do it to you. I mean, you guys were really good friends it seemed
( ... )
as far as i know she is still at the same place. last i heard she had not paid rent since the month before i left so who knows if she is still there. if you need the address, please email me at jaquelinehyde@gmail.
and yes the whole thing sucks and i don't wish to discuss it any further.
From what I recall of the situation, you and Nicole decided to move out on a whim and completely fucked Ms. Cowden over, and you also neglected to check or open your mail, leading her electricity to be cut off, as the bill was buried somewhere in that stack. Grow the fuck up and have the good grace to take responsibility for your own actions. And that goes for you too, Brian. How many times have you pulled this adolescent bullshit? And how many times has it backfired and exploded all over your face?
This is the same person who blocked me, ignored my calls and texts after all the burlesque hoopla went down and she found herself with my sewing machine still at her house.
Already did it. Filed the police report and am going to the Justice of the Peace in her precinct tomorrow to pay the $97 it takes to get a judgement against her if the police are unable to recover the merchandise after her arrest.
I still feel bad though. Sorry to hear about your sewing machine. I had no idea she had this kind of history. Weird.
It is an unfortunate situation but you have to remember that she brought this upon herself. No reason for guilt. Sympathy/empathy, sure. but guilt? naaaa
