a book alan sillitoe - saturday night and sunday morning
it's really really good.
and in case you haven't read it yet: jeffrey eugenides - virgin suicides

movies... hmm, have you seen "garden state"? that one's quite good and "donnie darko" is gorgeous, too.
"the last day" is really really good to but really difficult to get, because it's only selled in france (not everywhere in france which is basically quite funny) and amazon.com

umm, music - beirut is really cool

Music (because I'm not very versed in the others :/) :

Blonde Redhead
Foals
Vivek Shraya
Vampire Weekend
Tokyo Police Club
Sufjan Stevens
Stars
St. Vincent
Sea Wolf
Rio En Medio
Radical Face
The Manchester Orchestra
Les Savy Fav
Hercules and Love Affair
Cut Copy

I have a lot of these on my computer. So if you want anything I'll be happy to upload for you. :]

As far as reading I've always been a huge fan of Chuck Palahniuk. He's the king of the mindfuck.

& Galadarling's blog is, I find, inspiring.
