Here's the survey I've done for the last 3 years. Kinda interesting to see how far you've come.

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
Dropped out of college (twice)

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I made a point to not make any last year, so I guess I kept those. This New Years' I don't plan on making any either. Resolutions tie you down.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nobody super close, but I know of a few people that have babies now. I'm not one of them.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not really actually

5. What countries did you visit?
England, Italy, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Austria

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
I'd like to kinda get my life, finances, and overall situation back where I want it

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Really, only May 30 when I hopped on a plane to begin my epic journey across Europe.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
My year was more like a series of small triumphs amid massive failures... I'M EMO HAHAAHAHAHAHAH

9. What was your biggest failure?
Giving up on school for the 2nd time

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got the black lung twice, and some minor colds and stuff. Didn't really hurt myself because to some extent i'm still made out of rubber

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My new snowboard boots

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
All my homies at the Mess have been awesome friends

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
everybody makes mistakes

14. Where did most of your money go?
Jesus Christ Gasoline!!! And my heep is broke, again. But still I'd bet 80% of my money not spent on bills and rent went to beer.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Lotsa shit, only some of which really worked out. I thought my sister living here would be more awesome than it is.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2006?
Fort Minor, Gnarles Barkley, and Panic! At the Disco will remind me of this summer at E. Mess for always

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? About the same
b) thinner or fatter? Um... I think I weigh more but just from growing. I dunno
c) richer or poorer? Ever so slightly richer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Gone snowboarding, rock climbing, rock crawling, motorcycle riding (I got in like 3 good rides), eating, studying

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Being a poon with girls like always, complaining about shit, being emo

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Well, my dad's going to Mexico in a couple days so with my mom. But I'm not going down until Christmas Eve because I gotta work

22. Did you fall in love in 2006?
I don't think so... no. No love.

23. How many one-night stands?
Who cares how many, I had the MOTHER of all ONS's. We didn't even speak the same language. She was Italian. It was fucking awesome.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Nip/Tuck, The Office, Scrubs

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I lack the capacity to hate, (well, for the most part)

26. What was the best book you read?
I really only read "Sahara" because I picked it up for the plane ride home. It was decent.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Ohh ooh I know this! Oh wait... um. Well, I'm insanely addicted to the new Nelly Furtado CD. I'm not even kidding

28. What did you want and get?
A memory-foam mattress, and a video iPod

29. What did you want and not get?
A paycheck from Slickrock Fabrication

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Beerfest, hands down.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 21, but a good half of my friends weren't. So I invited almost everyone I knew in the state of Colorado and threw a pretty solid party. And then I left them all and went to the bars at midnight, since my birthday was on a Sunday. Sundy itself, my parents came up and took me and my roomies to Outback.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
I'm going to be pathetic and say that being single wasn't very satisfying, the same as I said last year.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
My pretty-boy phase I went through at the end of last year is a little more subdued now. Some of my co-workers say I still am, but I'm really just a t-shirt and jeans guy.

34. What kept you sane?
Working and drinking. Which is pretty much all I did anyway.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
All celebrities are whores.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Are you kidding, I don't do midterms.

37. Who did you miss?
I miss the old Kerry, and I really miss Jason. The new Kerry is a poor substitute for Jason, who was about as cool as Jason. Now that Robert moved out I kinda miss him too.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Chongo, Veronica, Tommy, Elle.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
The only person you can rely on is yourself. And for God's sake do what makes you happy.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

"You can dream a little dream or you can live a little dream. I'd rather live it, 'cause dreamers always chase but never get it."

Hope everyone has a great '07, may it live up to all of the highs of 2006 with fewer lows.
