Truck & Guinea Pigs

I missed yesterday's entry.  I'm such a bad girl.

We picked up the truck yesterday and tried out all the toys.  Onstar.  Built in cell phone, etc.   It's neat.   Checked email last night and there was one from the truck.  I guess it runs self diagnostics and then emails it's owners with the results.   Got a kick out of that.   I kept expecting one saying "when are you gonna get that crappy van outta my spot in the garage?"   or   "I'm getting wet out here, can I come in".

I took it for a drive for the first time this morning.   I have this rule that I won't drive any vehicles we test drive until we own them.  I know that's a bit odd, but for some reason, I can't.  Hubby does though and I trust him.   This truck is one SWEET ride.

I think we're supposed to post pictures of pets today.   This first picture is of our late dog Kaela.

She was an Airdale terrior crossed with a Husky.   Temper with an attitude.  But she was a good dog and we loved her dearly.  We got her from the SPCA when she was 6 weeks old and she was nearly 15 when we had to make that decision to put her down two years ago.  Nearly killed me.  And hubby as she was bonded more to him than me.   She will always be a part of the family.

The next pictures are of our guinea pigs, Pippi and Patches.    Pippi is Matt's.  We inherited her from Matt's friend who was given Pippi as a birthday present and discovered he was allergic.   He knew Matt would take good care of her so he asked us to take her.   Patches belongs to Benjamin and we got her a couple months after Pippi.  She was a very young and small.  Now she's about twice as big as Pippi.

Pippi is the white one with the brown spot on the eye, Patches is the one with the black and brown face.

That's it for now.
