Me @ 17 circa 1992
I always carried that boom-box everywhere. Listened to a lot of Lemonheads, Metallica, LL Cool J, Who, RUN-DMC and was just getting into the Dead Kennedys (all on cassette!). I skateboarded a lot, but was fucking horrible, which accounts for the scabby elbows and knees. I used to also like to wear shorts under my shorts and different socks. Not sure why. I had a wicked John Waters mustache (not by choice exactly) and just a little bit of chin hair. I also thought bleaching my hair blondish would be "rad". I was skinny back then too (what happened?) and had contacts. I was really into Batman and Calvin and Hobbes too. I wore my bootleg "Calvin and Hobbes-as-Batman and Robin" t-shirt all the time. All the time. Here are some bonus photos of the actual shirt (I still have it).
Hobbes say "Nice Panties!", and Calvin replies "Shut Up Bat-Dork!"
