[ Today's is a rare intentional post! Though he doesn't talk immediately. He frowns at the camera for a few seconds, then sighs. ]Challenging the Goldenrod gym was a bit of a nightmare when it happened. The gym leader in Violet was less...unique... and I guess I'm glad he didn't to put me in a dress, but I take back my words from when I said to ( Read more... )

To some extent, it seems as though they don't believe there is much else worth learning.

Considering that this world almost completely revolves around Pokémon, if that were the case it certainly wouldn't be surprising.

Even then, though, you would think they would have a more available education for Pokémon engineers. There must be quite a bit of schooling involved in making Pokéballs, and they must have some form of engineers for the buildings and electrical system.

A lot of occupations here should require a high level of education. Despite that, I haven't seen any educational establishments of any sort aside from the trainer's school. It's strange; in fact it's concerning.

... I'd just like to keep up with my education, personally.

It just adds to the mystery of this place, really. I would think perhaps there were schools in another area, or another country, but there are no signs of that, nor are there any indications that the majority of the population has done any homeschooling. I would prefer to keep up with my education, as well, particularly if I'm to be here for as long as some have been.

Even if there was a school in another area, the ferry doesn't seem to run to anywhere aside from Cianwood.

I haven't made it past Goldenrod, so I admit that I don't know the full lay of the land beyond here.

I have yet to see Blackthorn and Mahogany as well. However, Olivine, Ecruteak, and Cianwood didn't seem to have anything connecting the residents of Johto to any other land, or region as they call it.

There must be more beyond all of this, but it doesn't seem to be easy to find.

What's hidden could also be difficult to find.

It usually is.

We can't really determine if the things we are unaware of in this world are deliberately hidden from us or not.

Deliberate or not, anything hidden that isn't a challenge to find only barely counts as being hidden.

If it only barely counts, it still counts, doesn't it?

To an extent. What is hidden to one person may not be hidden to another. Hiding a letter in plain sight does not count as hiding it to an observant eye, for example.

... That's true, too.
