[If this were any other handkerchief, Edgeworth would have offered to let Misaki keep it. But this was a handkerchief that originally belonged to Gregory Edgeworth, complete with initials embroidered in by Miles' mother.

So he just nods, and smiles.]

[And then Edgeworth rummages through that grocery bag he brought. After handing Pess the biscuit she'd begged for, Edgeworth produces a mini-carton of ice cream. Strawberry ice cream. He holds it out to Misaki.]

A friend at school once told me that ice cream cheers people up.

[Misaki is more than happy to make sure it gets back to Miles--and we'll just assume it happens sometime before Usagi's arrival.

He gives the ice cream a slightly strained look at first, but then he smiles. Really, Miles wouldn't know about the strawberry incident with Usagi-ani. This was a pure, sweet gesture, and he wasn't going to take it for granted.]

Thanks, Miles-kun. Let's eat it together, then.
