quite recently, i learned something about myself that i should've learned earlier. it's explained some things that happen, and things i do. because that's the way i'm wired.

there're 2 tests you can do with your body to know which brain is more dominant.
i'll show you tomorrow.

i'm left-handed and predominantly right-brained according to this

holistic (right)
sequential (left)
concrete (right)
logical/intuitive (i don't know)
verbal/non-verbal (i don't know)

not to pull a donnie darko or anything but i'm skeptical about this meaning anything.

well, i know this is all for fun and in that sense, of course there isn't any tremendous impact on our daily lives that concerns us. but what i meant was--the premise of the brain working polar enough to categorise humans as either/or--it seems nowhere near as complex as it should be.

for example: verbal/non-verbal processing. theoretically, if i am left-handed, i should be right-brained. i suit the left-brained description more however, i feel. whether i am right-brained with left-brained qualities, a left-brained person describing street directions with empathy, or simply over thinking this whole goddamned thing, the concept doesn't seem to take things like that into consideration and so, kind of invalidates things for me.

actually, research has shown that whether one is left or right handed does not have a direct correlation to brain dominance. but, i see your point.

those were just possible characteristics a person who's right/left brain dominant may have. & you're right, we cannot truly classify humans as such because humans have the capacity to break through these barriers of supposed left-brain and right-brain dominance because as humans, we are able to adapt and change to suit our environment whether it is purely mental or physical or both.

but then again, for some (such as i) knowing which side is more dominant explains some of my traits and it helps to realize that. so, i suppose it's how one perceives it.

thanks for the insight. :)
