CONTEST for rukitoaoi_nil - Omerta (A Dirty Carnival)

rukitoaoi_nil is currently running a graphic contest to make a banner/layout/wallpaper etc for a AoixRuki fic. I was really creative and chose to work with my own story.

Before the image, credits are in order:

Original images used were a major bitch. Ruki was all grainy so I had to hand-smooth him out and Aoi was… well, just annoying and bright. Images

Hmmm, thank you. I'm glad you like it. Blending was hella hard so it means the world to hear that you think it doesn't look like a manip. And the scenario is utterly drool worthy while not being slashy ;)

I think it's very good.

Background; check!
The background is enough to chase away that empty feeling many wallpapers/banners give you, but not enough to distract you from the two figures. Which is wonderful. Most people(including me) don't know when to stop and they keep adding things until the pic looks full in a bad way.

Main content; check!
If I hadn't already seen the individual pictures I wouldn't know it was a manip. The pics you chose are perfect and Ruki looks exactly like I have him in my mind. Great work!

Slash themes; check!
I believe it's for the best you chose to keep a distance between them. Not only it fits more with the story itself, it's also more realisticand beautiful in the eye because, god, there are some overly slashable manips out there that give me the creeps.
