[fic] Bottoms up! (PG-13) Onew/Taemin

Summary: Onew and Taemin receive some energy drinks from fans.
It was a Saturday. To a regular person this is a day when you can rest up after five days of work. However, to an idol a Saturday is just like any other day of the week, a day filled with work and scheduled activities.
Two such idols are Onew and Taemin, the leader and magnae of the group SHINee. It wasn't until late at night when they arrived back at the dorm, tired after another day of performances and TV appearances. But they considered themselves lucky, because the three other members were still away on their last schedules of the day.
The two idols had received some presents from their fans when they were walking to the car after their last schedule, and when they got home they went through the bags to see what the fans had given them. To Onew's delight one of the bags contained the energy drinks he liked so much, which was just what he needed at the moment, because he had to prepare for the next day and wouldn't be going to bed until later.
The leader carried all of the bottles to the kitchen, placed them on the kitchen table and sat down on one of the chairs around the table. Then he took one bottle for himself and tossed another one to the magnae, who sat down on the other side of the table. With a satisfied smile on his face Onew opened the bottle he was holding and drank all of the contents in one go. Taemin was just about to do the same when the older man suddenly grabbed his throat and started coughing.
“Jeez hyung, you can't even drink without choking now?” Taemin asked with a laugh and looked up at the clumsy leader. But the smile quickly left his face when he saw the older man's tensed expression. “Hyung, what's wrong?” he asked with a concerned voice.
Onew's breathing was shallow and raspy and a gurgling sound came from his throat, which he was clutching tightly. He threw out his arm and hit Taemin's bottle out of his hand, before he fell off his chair and collapsed on the floor.
“Hyung!” the younger man shouted and threw himself down on the floor next to the leader, whose body was shaking with convulsions. “What to do, what to do?” Taemin said to himself in a state of panic and tried to hold Onew down, but the older man was thrashing around so violently that Taemin couldn't hold him still.
Suddenly Onew's whole body tensed up, his back arched off the floor and his face scrunched up in a pained expression. Then, after just a couple of seconds, his body went limp again and fell back to the floor, as a heavy breath left his body.
Everything was quiet for a moment, until Taemin finally broke the silence.
“Hyung?” he asked with a trembling voice and bent over Onew's still face. “Jinki hyung?” he asked again and his lower lip started to quiver. “Lee Jinki!” he then shouted desperately and shook his hyung, but the leader remained completely still.
“Please,” Taemin pleaded. He pulled the older man into his lap and wrapped his arms around him. “Please wake up.”
He finally realized that Onew wasn't doing to answer him, no matter how much he tried. Then his body was overtaken by grief and he just sat there on the floor, rocking back and forth, while tears of indescribable sorrow fell from his eyes down on the lifeless man in his arms.
A/N 2: Ever since I wrote a smut fic last week my inner sadist has been wanting to come out and play, but until now I haven't been able to come up with a plot idea that was angsty enough. Then I happened to watch some random TV show where the SHINee members (except Jonghyun) had to pretend to drink poison and die, and that gave me the inspiration to write this fic. So don't blame me for killing Onew, blame that show :P
I'm not very satisfied with this fic, it was too short and the ending wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. But I wanted to finish the fic quickly and I was also too lazy to make the story longer and more complicated, so this is how it turned out. But I hope you at least like it a little bit :)
