Da Vinci Code is surely a nice movie.. I was amazed by its complicated story and the creativity of the subject..

What I hate is, France they show it in French voice (HATE HATE HATE).

But I am sure the book is a lot more in detail and better.. thats why I'm going to get the book in english XD

And.. why people cant just see this film as a "film"? Story

I just have to say that I have strong prejudices for movies made out of books, they are never good! Well the LOTR-trilogy was OK, but still.. I find so many mistakes of them and the interpretation is always so different from my that I just can't enjoy them :P But it is good if some one can :)
And I loved Amelie ^^

hehe Yea I havent seen any movies out of books are good.. harry potter also..how they can squeeze a thick book into a 2 hours movie..i am kinda disappointed of the 4th harry potter film.. it was one of the best Harry potter books..

You should see da vinci code if you have read the book and tell me what you think lol i just ordered the book..i always do things reversed LOL

I absolutely want to see it!! I'm planning to go to cinema this week end.. I have read the book and I have really, really liked it! Actually, I think you could see it in english, too.. at UGC cinemas as well as other french cinemas, they are showing vost versions... I love to see movies in the original language!!
About what is true and what is just a creation in the plot: you know, now in Italy there's a sort of scandal about this movie because of the curch. I am not religious at all, but in my country your grow up being teached of all the cathiolic stuff (we are even obligate to hang a crucifice in public buildings!!!). The church trusts the bible and assumes it's all true because of faith (that's called the "the faith mistery") so, if you doubt about it, it means you don't have faith and, consequently, you are not a good catholic... So it's totally nonsene uh??

hmm Evreux cinema showing VOST is really rare.. i have seen only a few movies in VOST.. sad (its cinézenith in my town)

Although i am chinese, I have had catholic education since i was 3.. lol kindergarten, primary school and secondary school..total of 16 years I had to learn in bible..and do those prayers every morning at school assembly and Xmas/easter Mass... but still cant make me into this religion =P But i do love reading the "stories" in bible.

Yes i am very surprised how strongly minded catholic is.. they have clear guidelines to follow and must be super faithful...

Oh, I see what you mean! You know, I'm SO SO very lucky here, cuz ALL the movies in theaters and on TV go here with original sound and portuguese subtitles. Only some kid movies are being dubbed, but yet in theaters they run both original and portuguese versions at the same time in different rooms. I gotta say, I have big respect to French actors :D French movies were huge hit in Russia (specially at the time when everything american was probidden) and I grew up liking them. However I didn't think Audrey Tautou would be a good choice, she's too short and girly-looking for how I imagined the character ;) When you read the book first, you imagine the character to look certain way and neither Audrey Tautou or Tom Hanks fit to what I imagined :P

hehe My sis said the same thing like you, she said Tom hanks doesnt look like the professor in book at all, and The role of Audrey should find a girl stronger and tougher.. someone like the one eye nurse in kill bill..

XD If I could choose I would go see original version for sure LOL
The only OV in the film here is the italian dialoge XD all others are french.. >.
