Kyah is pretty normal for shedding right now. Rory, on the other hand, is shedding a LOT. Why? It is undercoat, thank heavens, so she's not just channeling Lucy (Lucy did this weird bit of shedding in late fall a couple years later in her life -- she would shed top coat as well as undercoat, especially around her hips and lower back. It could definitely be related to her season. All bitches go through the hormonal changes of pregnancy after a season, whether they show outward signs of false pregnancy or not. Or it could be something completely different.

Both Ruben and Razor (both Aussies, Ruben the more *hairy* of the two) had HORRIBLE sheds at 10-12 months. Also both in the Fall (one is a Nov pup, the other a Dec). Like, OH MY GOD shedding. Only happened that one time.

They both do the coat blow in spring and fall, but those early ones I attributed to growing their "adult" coats.
