It probably would have been a good idea to listen to the radio last night. If she had, Brooke wouldn't have been out where there were vampires and psycho killers wandering around.

As it was, Brooke was calling it a pretty early night tonight, heading back to the dorms from Caritas when she saw the girl. "Hey there," she called. "Are you out here by yourself?"

Was it wrong for her to try and hit a kid with her other arm? If it was, well, too bad, Brooke was kind of freaking out a lot and flailing and not wanting to find out what she meant by 'tasting'.

"Stop it!" Her blow connected and Claudia was sorely pissed at that. "Do you not understand what I can do to you? Be still and I will let you live!"

"Yeah, I understand, why do you think I'm hitting you!" Brooke cried, trying to hit her again and get back to her feet.

Claudia was simply too fast for her and dodged the blows easily, even as she attempted to throw a fist towards the girls jaw.

About the time she got hit would normally be the time that Brooke burst out into tears. However, she was saving that for when she got away- and she was getting more determined to get away the more freaked out she got- and she simply refused to cry because she was gonna die by way of a five-year-old.

Even taking the hit, she scrambled backwards, trying to push herself back up before she could get hit again.

"You are beginning to bore me," Claudia stated, standing still as she watched the girl back away. "Perhaps you should run before I decide I am not yet full. Or perhaps you should beg me for mercy. I've decided you will not make me a good mother."

Oh, no, Brooke was totally going with that first option. There was no question there. She had the thought that she was totally okay with not being the creepy vampire kid's mother, and before that thought was even completed she'd turned to run faster than she knew she could.

Claudia watched her, deciding for a moment whether or not she wanted to go after her and end her. She had dared to hit her after all.

Best not to alarm the other vampires, however, so the girl would live, more's the pity.
