No consumer PB was affected by the recall -- only wholesale stuff that companies bought and put into other products (ice cream, cookies, etc) or big vats of PB used at schools and nursing homes

I work at a bakery. We didn't use peanuts or peanut butter for a month (even though the company we get our products from was in the clear), so I understand.
My point was that if she'd been eating the pistachios before and not gotten sick, she was okay. Like I was (and my work was) with the peanut butter.
I agree that people are getting a little bit too tweaky. They'll be the first to starve to death when the apocalypse comes, cause they won't eat wild game. Anyway, I doubt your pistachios were processed any where near the plants that had salmonella.
