Ok, continuing on, I had to join in this book reading craze since I have recently been in a book reading frenzy with 3 1/2 books in about 2 1/2 weeks.  Mostly I'm working from Jen and Cris's bookshelf but it's keeping me going.

An American guy tried to climb K2, but was exhausted, had to turn away from the summit, and got lost on the way down, ended up in a Pakistani village where they took him in and inspired him to build schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan to promote education, of girls in particular.

A must read since the book follows his work before during and after 9/11 in a Muslim country.

Memoirs of a Geisha was a reeeeeally good movie, so I'd be tempted to check out what it's like in book form.

And Lord of the Flies is amaaaaazing. I'm kinda surprised that one slipped past you in high school. Imagine.... kids deserted on an island by themselves going crazy and worshipping a dead pig head. If that doesn't scream entertainment, I don't know what does.
