I always wanted to know how he got his powers...This is the very first Mighty Mouse cartoon from 1942.

Wow. Somehow I missed that one.
I always thought he was from Krypton and maybe bummed a ride on the same rocket Super Man arrived in. :D
Nobody calls the grocery store a 'Super Market' anymore.
Are they sure that mouse wasn't affected by the combination of being sprayed with DDT then eating all the super food wasn't a factor?
Heehee!
I kinda miss Oil Can Harry. He was great villain.
=^.^=

Someone thought that Mighty Mouse got his powers from eating a lot of pills and they cut out that scene. I also learned that Nickolodeon Pictures are going to put out a computer animated Mighty Mouse movie next year. We'll see!

pills hmm?
Interesting.
in the 60's there were a few super heros that depended on drugs in order to get by!
Underdog = "super energy vitamin pill"
Super Chicken = "Super Sauce" (he always drank it in martini stemware....one wonders...)
Roger Ramjet = "Proton Energy Pill" (Gives him the strength of 20 atom bombs for 20 seconds!!)

Mr. Terrific = Always carried a box with a large power pill and 2 boosters for short term jolts if the main one ran out. (It always did for embarrassing moments.)

Maybe I missed some but those are ones I remember...

*Falls over backwards laughing*

I hadn't thought about Mighty Mouse in a long time, but I grew up watching him "save the day" on Saturday mornings while I ate my "snap, crackle, pop" Rice Krispies. With Mighty and Mickey (and Minnie of course!) it's no wonder I've always loved mice .. and other rodents.

I love Mighty Mouse too! I always thought he was a copy of Mickey, but with muscles! LOL! But after looking at his toons again, Mighty Mouse is quite different in personality. But he is cute too! There's going to be a movie coming out this year about him. Viacom is putting it out though...many think that Paramount should have done it. Viacom still holds the rights to the character. I hope the movie will have a good storyline.

It should be good. In any case, at least it will bring Mighty Mouse back into the public eye. I think a lot of kids have never heard of him!
