Oh man, I'm so happy you posted this. I'm really looking forward to read more. So far I really enjoy it and I think the characterization is good. Plus, you put Sephiroth in there, and that makes me a happy person. Is he going to go crazy and burn a village down too? XD

Thank you!! I'm glad to hear you enjoy it so far. The fic's not going to be in this style though - just the pro/epilogue - I've slipped back into my safe zone of first person, no surprises there.

Yeah, I put Sephiroth in!! ♥ He wasn't in it at first (Xigbar was Xemnas' only brother) but I needed someone with close ties to the police and the family, and Sephiroth really fitted the bill :) I haven't any plans for him to burn down a village just yet XD

Thanks for reading - chapter 1 is practically done, just reworking the final half to it. What I love so much about NaNo is that it such a lot of writing is already done that I can edit and tweak in peace ^_^ ♥

Well, I like first person so it doesn't really matter to me. I'm just excited to see where it goes from here.

Well, Sephiroth was a General, there's no reason he couldn't work for the police. XD. I think it great fit, and I like his relation to Xemnas and Xigbar. It all seems very believable.

Well, I'm excited to read it. I wanna see were Marluxia fit in all of this. XD

Dude. My mind is boggled. I was going to ask you about your NaNo-fic when you mentioned it earlier but I saw that you had already posted the first part and now I saw that you posted the first chapter *_

I'm glad you liked the cameos - I had a fun time writing the prologue and deciding who to star in it as the rest of the fic is all from Saix's POV, And Cloud as a private detective? That's the first I've heard of that. Is that canon? Does it get mentioned in Crisis Core or something? I've only just started playing that game and I'm anxiously awaiting Sephiroth and Cloud :D

Haha, it's not meant to be a criminal thriller per se (at least, not until Marluxia makes his grand appearance), more an action fic with sappy romance iced on top with a sprinkle of angst.

Your guesses are actually very good :D Her going nuts is pretty much spot on ^_^ *this fic is not as complex as I thought it was lol*

Well, it was supposed to be canon before the creators changed it all. Sakaguchi had written the original script for FF7 where "Detective Joe" (Cloud) was in pursuit of the main characters because they had blown up Midgar. And Tetsuya's original design for Cloud looked like Angeal XD;;
Vincent was also a detective in the early stages. First he was supposed to be a "horror researcher" (a la Hojo) but he was changed into a detective and then to a chemist before he was made into a former Turk with a tragic past.
Are you playing Crisis Core in English or in Japanese? The Japanese version is basically an eargasm. SuzuKen, Sakurai, Morikawa @___@ Inoue and Gackt!! I like it in English too...Cloud with a slightly southern accent <3 and Rick Gomez <3...yeah, I have a thing for voices...

Really? I had no idea they had initial plans like that. And it doesn't surprise me so much that Nomura has been recycling his designs XD And omg chemist!Vincent wtf. I'm glad they didn't settle with that, that's hilarious. I don't think he'd get very far career wise if he ran a pharmacy or something and had a shotgun behind the counter :S

I'm playing in English, though I imagine that the Japanese voice acting is to die for. Sephiroth's Japanese voice is a million and one times better than his English one. So alluring and mysterious :D and Sakurai is one of my favourite VAs. I have to admit though that while playing Crisis Core in English, the voice acting hasn't been so bad. I plan to see some of the good cutscenes in Japanese on youtube, once I've finished playing but I'm terrible at action games so it may take a long long time
