you are teh awesome. the mind boggles at how truly cool this community is. i'm just sad that everyone seems to be east and very very few are near me (central California).

... is there any way to view the name, etc. of the landmark without click on a name from the left panel.

I found someone who is located in the same town as my uni, but when I click on their little marker, nothing comes up.

I feel like the answer must be obvious, but I'm just not getting it right now.

Zoom in until you can see the placemark clearly, no overlap with anyone else, then click on the placemark. It should show the balloon with the title/info.

That's what I was/am doing.

Hrm.

I'm on a really weak wifi signal right now, so maybe that explains it?

Oh well. I'll figure it out somehow.

I'll stay off for the moment, not least because I don't have a Google log-in. I think. Or if I do, I last used it so long ago that I have no idea what name or password I used.
