So this whole Dreamwidth thing - I'm excited to see so many people on my flist talking about, it gives me hope that we'll be able to reach the tipping point and a mass exodus from LJ really will happen this time. Yep, I know!

You could try and register OpenId. Apparently people with OpenID will be getting codes at some point.

It's a new LJ-variant. Owned and operated by some former LJ workers, they want to be more connected to their users and more transparent in their business practices. Also, most of them are fannish. Hopefully it will be the alternative for people who no longer trust Our Russian Overlords(tm).
