I think you may mean Roger (the husband), unless there's something I don't know about pillows, or Daves and Rodericks? ;)

I just meant why settle for an ordinary name for a pillow and Roderick always sticks me as the most overly elaborate male name I've ran into in RL. :D

Ah! Yes, Dave is about as straightforward a name there is (except perhaps for a pillow which was otherwise nameless). I used to work with a Roderick. I don't know how he got his name, but I recall during a terrible blizzard, his father called from Vancouver. When I explained that Roderick had not made it to work because of the weather he said he'd only called to gloat about the crocuses in Vancouver... so he proceeded to gloat and laugh at me, the sucker who trudged through the snow to work. So, I'm left with the impression that that is the sort of man who names his son Roderick.
