I really hate to say this, but most times your just stuck in the leas and are going to be paying rent to them untill it expires anyways. So, as mean as it sounds..you should stay in your apartment..if your going to be paying for it anyways..wich 99.99999 pecent of the time is what your going to be doing...live there. I'd talk with your complex manager before you pack. No use packing just ot unpack and stay. Went through this myself after I lost a job and had to move out...but I onlyhad like 1 month left in the least....

What if she stoped paying rent, and they had to evict her??? It's dumb to force someone to pay something like that, even IF they did sign a contract/lease that says I will pay/stay here until said time. But the Apts. will be losing money by having her stay in a place where she herself can't afford as well. Mom needs help.... But I do agree on her talking to the manager, I wouldn't saying anything about the move, but I'd talk about not being able to afford the rent, and the rest of the bills. Cry to them, mention how you might be able to have a place to stay, but there is now way that you can fork out the cash anymore....

That really sucks hon. Most of the time, there is a fee of some sort for breaking your contract. you will want to go over ALL your paperwork that you signed when you moved in (hopefully you still have it all). For example, if your apartment gave you $200 off the first month, you may have signed something that said "If you move out early, you will have to pay back that $200." You should also go through your lease with a fine tooth comb and look for what it says in there. If your landlord is nice, and you explain the situation, they will generally make you pay any fees / "gifts" that you are contractually obligated to pay, and will make you pay rent until they lease out your apartment. The first thing you should try to do is see if you can line up someone willing to rent the apartment - that will help the matter considerably. If not, you might need to help your mom find a roomie until you can get out of your lease. If you guys ever want to try to buy a home, or rent another apartment, the last thing you want to do is screw up ( ... )

You know what Jessalin-I have decided this is not a good idea. First of all, I really don't need every freaking person who reads your live journal in my business. But since you think it's alright to blast the information all over, let's add ONE more reason why I thought this might work. You and Geoff cannot pay your bills-you have borrowed money for your rent-you have shut off notices on your utilities-your boyfriend doesn't keep a job AND he wastes money on karaoke while you work your ass off at Taco Bell. I THOUGHT we could all get a bit ahead AND keep the boys in this school district AND not screw up Jilliann's financial aid. I thought YOU might get back to school yourself ( ... )
