I think it’s easier to hate someone to love someone.
It takes time, takes effort, takes devotion.
Because when you love someone, they make you want to be next to them. They’re like magnets, but then again, not like magnets, because rather than pulling you in, they make you want to push yourself closer. They make you want to smile because you know they’ll smile back.
And that thing they make you feel. It’s more than respect or attraction or admiration. It’s need.
Candles.
That’s what you can call them.
The rest of us are just moths, fluttering around aimlessly with our tiny discolored wings, not because we’re lost, but because we’re searching for that light, waiting for that irresistible glow to appear and take over our world.
I’d wanted to be someone’s candle before.
At one point, I thought I already was, but it doesn’t matter to me much, anymore.
Because in the end we’re all screwed.
Because moths die and candles go out.
A/N:
This was a really random thing, but I liked it, and I kind of want to use it as a basis/prelude for a long!fic in the future Hm. I'll figure something out. As in, I need time to contemplate between fandoms OTL But anyway, thank you for reading.
