Saturday will be the first sail on the brand-new King 40 American Girl. First race, the Edlu (short - 40 miles or so) follows on the 9th. Very excited to be part of the program (and a member of the afterguard as Navigator) on a hot new boat. The ultimate goal is a win in the 2010 Newport to Bermuda Race. Our inspections on the new house were today (plural because along with the standard home inspection, we had a radon test and an oil tank sweep done). Mostly excellent marks. Small bit of termite damage, limited to the garage, which the sellers will have to remediate before closing, and lots of trivial stuff ( Read more... )

Why does the first day back from vacation have to last 12+ hours, and why do the last 3+ of them have to be entirely the result of my being an idiot?
