121115 hyukjae at tous les jours
Encounter with Hyukjae at Tous Les Jours on the 2nd day of opening under the cut.
Initially I had wanted to go visit the shop on opening day, but the thought of having to squeeze with heaps of fans just to get a glimpse of Hyukjae put me off. In all honesty, I wanted to visit the store to have a look, and maybe catch a glimpse of Hyukjae but no, circumstances didn't allow me to so I ended up visiting on the 2nd day.I met my friends at the nearest subway station to TLJ (which happens to still be very very very very far away) and walked to the shop. That walk took about 10-15 minutes, but it was pretty cold and my nose pretty much fell off by then. We arrived at the shop, which is pretty small found a table and left our things there. A friend went to take photos of the congratulatory plants they sent near the door, while I stood there trying to get wifi.
Just about then, someone brushed pass me, but I was still fiddling with my phone, so I didn't look up. The other friend that was standing by the table came over and was staring at me wide-eyed and was like "HYUKJAE IS HERE" and I was just "WHAT. WHERE" and she was like "YOU DIDN'T SEE HIM? HE WENT INSIDE" and I ducked to peer into the shop and HE WAS STANDING THERE.
The best part of all this was, the shop wasn't crowded, at all. I went in and got a drink for myself and my mom (yes she went with me and watched me fangirl) and went back out. Just about then, Hyukjae came out and started snapping photos of the congratulatory plants that were around the shop.
He went back into the shop and sat down at the back, fiddling with his phone, turns out he was cutting the pictures together, the one which he eventually tweeted, this. He then went outside for a look, then came back in, then went out again. But he stayed outside for quite awhile, while we (fans) stayed inside. When we finally went outside, he sat outside for awhile more before going back in, this time we didn't follow him back in.
We peeked in and he was actually looking and arranging the biscuits/bread that were on display (really lolol) and then went to stand by the message board where fans had left messages for the bakery and lee family.
This was when the Japanese fans asked him to sign things and we went to get like cakes to get the TLJ mug, I got mine and went up to Hyukjae to get it signed. He is really really good-looking in person, my legs almost gave way when I stood there infront of him. I choked out a thank you and congratulations and he went "nae~".
My brain wasn't functioning when I gave him the mug, he signed on the box, and my friends literally face-palmed at me. My friends went to get their other mug and I just tagged along with them, just to see Hyukjae. After Hyukjae signed, my friend suddenly asked Hyukjae to write my name on it. My friend said wrongly and I corrected her, then Hyukjae smooshed the missing letter inside lolol.
She then said "it's her birthday" in English then Chinese to Hyukjae but he didn't get it at first, but when he finally clicked, he stuck his hand out to shake hands and said "happy birthday" in really awkward English. His hand is actually pretty big for his height (he isn't that tall odg) and his hand is really warm because my hand was frozen.
Hyukjae's mom was also really nice, because when we were trying to take pictures from far, she kept pushing us forward and saying "it's okay, it's okay". She is really adorable and kind.

(+) 2 days later (121117), my friends went to TLJ again as he tweeted that he'll be working part-time. When it was their turn to get the mug from Hyukjae, he recognised them from 2 days ago, he shook hands with them then made hand gestures like tiny, or small girl (i'm not that short, he's just exaggerating it pfft) and my friend went "dongsaeng?" and he went "nae~" then she did the airplane motion and said go back, then he went "ahhh~"
