For sumairu because she asked, and for simplexityz, aysleygriffin, and define_glee by extension, I guess :).

So my parents decided this summer was the summer we were finally going to do something to the house - they decided it was time to redo the floor. The floor upstairs is wooden, and our house is really old, so twas time to sand them down and polish them.

Omg, I love the new colours you guys used for the walls!! The floor is amazing as well. How long is it taking you? This is a really big project :O

Merci :)! It's been over two weeks, I think? And yeah, it was originally just the floor, but all this moving stuff around made my parents want to actually change furniture and things.

I had this comment open for like, 3 hours and thought I'd posted it... /fail

LOL I do that all the time. Then I end up with 10 pages open or something. From the pics, looks like the house has a more modern artsy atmosphere. =D

But HOLY SMOKES! You guys are literally having some sort of home makeover or something. Your living room and floors look AMAZING ♥ I can't wait to visit your home. Are you guys renovating the basement as well? Or just the top floor?

And too bad we missed each other at Ikea :P I was picking out my second closet that I'm about to put into my room.

Also, the fishies T____T

Psh yeah, of course. You guys can find your places on my deck around the furniture, I'm sure. Move around? Nobody needs to do that!

Yeah, it didn't sound like such a big undertaking when we heard about it, but now... lol, it's taken on a life of its own. At Ikea today, I was all, "I want that desk :DDD" and was shut down by my mom. "We're not thinking about you yet. Let's deal with upstairs and your brother's room first." T___T. So... maybe eventually. Right now, it's just upstairs, and downstairs (& my room) = 'the place no one ever sees, really; it can stay as it is until the more visible parts are fixed up.'

Second closet like, in addition to the first one, or replacing it? Your closet is pretty epic looking already.... Didja get it?

...Yeah, poor little things. I don't think the inside of a garbage can/bag is very attractive, but they couldn't stay inside the aquarium, so... :/.

it took me... two nights. idk, maybe i am just slow :P. the second night, i had a stop error and lost everything when i was almost done, and had to start over -____-".

I guess it maybe got rained on? Lol, the stuff under the deck isn't really important, since it's Brian's dresser parts, and on the deck, it probably didn't get rained on that much because of the glass covering thing.
