HAPPY CANADA DAY! *waves flag around* Weirdly enough, although we have the day off, it wasn't a long weekend, so everyone trudged into work and school grudgingly yesterday, only to have their week interrupted by fireworks and patriotic concerts with hot dogs and such ( Read more... )

Hahaha, good old 'Our Century, Our History'. Yes, Canadian history as it's taught in high school is pretty boring, not to mention incomplete and occasionally skewed. But the history itself is fascinating! Glad you enjoyed the post. :D

If Canada weren't so cold, I may want to live there in lieu of moving all the way ove the pond to England. Do I need to learn French?

No real need of French, no. It depends on where you head to live, of course. Also, it's not cold everywhere! Vancouver is pretty mild compared to the rest of Canada, and pretty much all the southern cities get scorching in the summer.

Well, I did skip over a ton of not so awesome things in our history in the interests of 'It's a Celebration, YAY!', so we're not actually all this awesome. But yes, Canada kind of rocks. ;D
